Re: Slingshot Weapon with pulleys
Neptune 15 offers yet another permutation, whether it delivers any better performance one can only speculate.

Re: Slingshot Weapon with pulleys
That missing trigger piece finally showed up, in fact the seller sent all the trigger components again, but they took some time to arrive and I had nearly given up on it. Will put it together in the New Year as for now I have lost interest in it.

Re: Slingshot Weapon with pulleys
Just revisiting the "Krysis" (mid-life?) bow pages and it looks like only two have been sold!
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/32-KRYSI....c100276.m3476 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Archery-...53.m1438.l2649 Could be the name is "Kresis" as it is spelled that way on the second page. Last edited by popgun pete; 01-09-2020 at 11:11 PM. |

Re: Slingshot Weapon with pulleys
This looks like the same gadget for a lot less. However the bow riser is alloy, not carbon fiber. The riser is the vertical part that you hold onto.
https://www.aliexpress.com/i/4000022...483581fb3y1k5A Yet another version called the "Cupid" and less expensive again at 454 bucks. https://www.aliexpress.com/i/4000192...a9701144q8IDOu The terminology is shown here (for a plain vanilla compound bow). Re: Slingshot Weapon with pulleys
Finally found a video for the "Krysis".
https://youtu.be/KwjMcVw_owQ If you are a beer can or a watermelon, be afraid, very afraid (watch the latter part of the video)! Here it is called a compound catapult. I predict the price will tumble if they want to sell many of these "bows", which are not really a bow, except for the overall shape. |

Rubber under stress is prone to ozone cracking, note the white appearance on the rubber which shows the tight bending stresses on the engaged loops, and that is without any draw on the bowstring! In storage it would be desirable to disengage all the rubber loops or expect a decrease in their service life. Last edited by popgun pete; 01-10-2020 at 04:02 PM. Reason: added a photo |
