Re: Titanium dive knife with sheath
I have received mine and it is what I expected from the reviews from the first batch. Basically it is a great knife in a crappy sheath. The knife itself is definitely titanium and well designed. It fits my hand and is designed so that my hand won't slip while jabbing with it. Overall it was a good buy and worth the money. Thanks Stupidmonkey.

Re: Titanium dive knife with sheath
Exactly what I expected. Perfect knife for braining and general reef use. With the existing sheath I'd be worried about using it as my primary knife, because I'm reaching for it every 5 minutes on the reef. That said, as a backup knife the sheath is perfect. Low profile, simple, and secure. The sheath is nylon with some sort of semi-rigid plastic liner in it. Belt loop is 3", so no worries about getting it on your weight belt. The knife itself is exactly what I wanted. Sharp, pointy as hell, and semi-serrated.
I'll save you some googling: http://www.steyrclub.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2602 http://www.mcmaster.com/#acrylic/pvc/=4hnnxt So for $40 you just got a tip top titanium knife and a kydex sheath, and you learnt how to do something new! bang fish brain fish repeat. |

Re: Titanium dive knife with sheath
I actually put it on my kayak on the crossbar that holds a rod holder and the fishfinder. It just hangs there in the sheath now and never leaves the kayak. This way, I have a good knife for cutting line or doing whatever and it won't rust.

Re: Titanium dive knife with sheath
Very happy with my knife (until I lost it). Worked well, didn't rust a bit. Shipped timely.

Re: Titanium dive knife with sheath
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but this knife looks very similar to the Aquatec T-REX Titanium Diving Knife. If you could get a hold of one of the sheaths for this knife, it looks like it might work perfectly for a replacement to the nylon sheath. If you contact Aquatec, and tell them you need a replacement sheath to your knife, they will send you a new one for $10, including shipping. Here is the website. Hope this helps.
