Hobie kayak transducer location
I have mine located in the front hatch to the left. I get some noise interference even though there is no air gap between the hull and the water. Where is the best spot to mount it? I was thinking in the center circular hatch where the seat is.

mine is under the seat. the front hatch will catch too many bubbles.

Re: Hobie kayak transducer location
Thanks so much Joe. I'm gonna put it there and see what happens. Right now I'm getting a lot of surface clutter.

Re: Hobie kayak transducer location
a large amount of noise may indicate you had bubbles in the glue, but I would still place it under the seat
