Railgun spent 2 months under seawater. Safe to use?
Hi I have a mako railgun that was lost under a ledge and I recovered two months later. The trigger mech still seems to work perfect! (Havnt loaded with bands tho).
Anyways is it safe to use the gun or could mech components be rusted and I should replace? The shaft was very rusted and discarded. Last edited by TheMackDaddy; 06-23-2020 at 01:18 PM. |

The mech you can take apart and inspect/clean. Just pop the pins out on the loading pad and it should all come out. I'd check the barrel ends where they are screwed to the handle/muzzle - they tend to corrode under the screws first.
