I have seen your videos and I know you do big things with that setup- but I just chalk it up to different species - and some kind of technique that I am missing or something. i like the idea of the 3 prong - so it wont exit the fish - but it didn't kill the fish for me and they were still able to swim off with it. my hat's off to you man. I built an over under - 2 shot gun - with top line shaft at 130cm stretch and the bottom is 90cm freeshaft- now THAT is a good gun for commercial scuba! for a pure freeshafter - it has big advantages- you can take 2 shaots without relaoding and have 2 extra shafts on the gun to reload it for all my freediving - I use a 57" - 2 band gun with 125 to 130cm stretch- rear handle as far as what I sell - it is skewed heavily to 120 cm 55" guns - with occaisonal 110 and 130

Re: Most used speargun length
For what it is worth this poll actually mimics the most commonly sized shafts that I have sold over the years. The poll is in line with the demand I see in both Euro and American shafts.

Re: Most used speargun length
I have a 115 but I would think a 110 would be the most popular

Re: Most used speargun length
Most of the time it’s my Denton 90cm. I do have a Denton 120 which gets used from time to time though

Re: Most used speargun length
Why dose Abellan call it a 120 when it has 130cm of band stretch?

For Abellan spearguns it used to be that they were named after how much band stretch they had. The 120 had 120cm band stretch but only had the length of a 110. That got confusing for some i guess since euro style guns are typically measured by how long the body of the gun is and not how long the band stretch is. Today, the 120 model is roughly 120cm long in the body but has a band stretch of 132cm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: Most used speargun length
Whelp, this poll is really biased upon the individuals diving location. Diving in murky water in Tampa bay, I use a sawed off 42" AB Biller. It's the right gun for the job, especially under ledges and sorts.
Offshore is whole 'nother story.
