Sugarloaf key diving?

Hey guys, I'm taking a trip the 18th -20th to sugar loaf key looking to do as much diving, spearfishing as possible while I'm there. I've got a 22ft bay boat and will be staying at sugar loaf lodge so water access and ability to travel by water is no issue. I've been hearing that the weather is suppose to be blowing while I'm there and will probably be to ruff possibly to do much on the Atlantic side. I've been given some areas to hit out off the Atlantic side but not much on the gulf. I've dove around islamorada for lobster on gulf side and pretty much just looked for nice rocks and coral heads while being drug behind the bloat. Looking for an idea of how it is in the sugar loaf area and wether I should plan on running a ways out on the gulf side if I'm wanting to shoot fish and get lobsters. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Not looking for numbers or names of place just a general idea of a plan of sorts on the area. Thanks in advance!
