I suggest that if you have one of these mechs on your gun then fitting one of these safeties would be a good insurance policy, both in the water and in the court room if you have the misfortune to end up there.

Looks like the Ermes Sub Double Roller gets its safety installed in this grip mounted version for a eurogun layout with pistol grip and loading pad poking out the back. Getting your finger onto that little red lever may be a challenge. Photo taken from their Facebook page.

One way to increase discrimination between safety "on" and "off" is to use a cam that presses up against the sear lever when cocked, but swings down out of the way when the safety is off. Here the outer control knob or lever has to rotate through ninety degrees. The black circle just indicates the rotation arc of the cam tip, the cam shape could be a half circle or a partial D shape, only the tip is shown here, the D facing away from the trigger when the safety is on.
