Re: Malibu Conditions Permathread
Went today. Deeper water was terrible. 5ft max, inside was nice 15-20f vist. Got one sheeps head, saw a small halibut, a massive (90-120lb) bat ray, and a 20in WSB. My buddy saw a 20lb WSB in 8ft of water but only brought his 70cm gun and couldn't snag it.

The daily bag and possession limit is three fish except that only one fish may be taken in waters south of Point Conception between March 15 and June 15. The minimum size limit is 28 inches total length or 20 inches alternate length. |

Re: Malibu Conditions Permathread
You are correct, just watched it swim by. I don't shoot fish that are in the "could be legal" range. I'll only shoot if I know for sure it is legal.

Re: Malibu Conditions Permathread
Anyone going out or been out lately? Kayaked last weekend vis seemed 6-8 feet in some spots south of Dume.

Just got back from topanga. Got one bug but the vis was atrocious, often down to zero. Try further west, hopefully it'll be better.

Re: Malibu Conditions Permathread
This week forecast has been looking good.
I dove Ana Capa last weekend and the vis was poor for the island 15-20 feet with a mild current. Anyone do any costal diving mid week? Also anyone wanna do a coastal/kayak dive Saturday morning? |
