Dive Ladder Advice Needed

Hey All,

I have a 31' fountain center console - the skimpy Armstrong ladder off the transom isn't cutting it. And the boat is too skinny in the stern to design something beefier w/o the engines hitting it...

I'm working with a custom shop to design an over the gunnel mounted ladder. Big and strong enough to carry my 220lb + gear out of the water.

If you think of the above ground pool style ladder below. Designed to push away from the boat at an angle.

Question, any of you use this kind of ladder, any feed back? It's good enough, its a pain in the a$$???

I need to know if will work with all your gear getting up and in the boat...

Feedback?

I have tried something similar and it sucked.
Check out my ladders here on the board , maybe I could design something similar for the side that slide into a Armstrong type bracket.
Maybe even some kind of side swivel for the back side.

This video around 2:45 shows my friend's 31 fountain.. I think that is the side. The ladder mounts on the side of the engine.. seemed to be sturdy to me,

Thanks Propman, I appreciate you, I'm in Jacksonville and you're a bite of a hike for this one.

Plus the boat is already at the shop and he's invested a little time in helping me sort this out.

So your strongly recommending some sort of stern entry?

Best I've ever used or own. The design is just what you are looking for and it will fit your Fountain.

I have one of these ; cost me only $300 and is the sturdiest , strongest , most stable ladder I have ever seen that wasn't custom.
The welds are solid , well made and the bracket is way over built .
Auto swing up , in case you drive away without picking it up. No flex . wiggle , or twisting , these are solid.
Armstrong and the other brands don't even compare.

Re: Dive Ladder Advice Needed

I bought the ultimate , it lists for 290 on his site , doesn't matter which bracket you get ; the ladder is the same.
It is well worth buying it. Attached it to my platform on the stainless support arm .
Solid . Can be attached multiple ways with the provided bracket including through the transom wall.

I've got the ultimate dive ladder with the "Dive master" bracket. Really overbuilt. Can't go wrong with it in my opinion.
