Wow. Story?

Each diver,1 dive, 1 fish. The entire three fish hunt lasted less time than it took to suit up.

It is really unnerving to dive 45' when you can barely see past the end of a 110cm gun. It will definitely test your breath hold.

Amber jack in the mud!!

The luhrs hit a log and was taking on water badly. They kept idling to stay afloat. We heard their mayday call and assisted them until coast guard took over. They were trying to make it back but the Grady White sent a mayday call and it went down fast. The coast guard then had to leave the luhrs to sink and rescue the people in the water. Don't know what happened to sink the Grady. I heard they did not hit anything though. Crazy day out there, but everyone got home safe. We dove the shelf rigs and Petronius. Dirty everywhere but Petronius. No wahoo. Shot some jacks and mangroves for dinner. Hopefully some good water gets in here soon

All of this happened 45 miles south of Gulf Shores

Re: Amber jack in the mud!!

People dont think about logs much in the gulf, but they are a real problem in the spring, after storms, or anytime it is flooding like now. I almost hit the roof of a house on Dixie bar after Ivan.

Glad everyone is ok

Very nice guys!

I play around in low to no viz in the bay, but it makes me nervous out there on the rigs when I can't see past gunpoint.

Still coming over to Texas for a Wahoo trip this season?
