Re: 26' Glacier Bay Catamaran

Is the boat available for viewing (and eventually sea trial) in S.B.?
Please PM me with a phone number. I'd like to talk with you about the boat. Thanks.

You ever had any problems with the raydar and GPS antenna being the same height?

Re: 26' Glacier Bay Catamaran

I hope I don't sidetrack this post, but... I own the same boat in a 2004 version. These are high quality, bombproof, stable as hell, efficient diving/fishing platforms. I've had mine in legitimate 9' seas with no problems. Most v-hulls would have been a nightmare in that. The ride into the swell is very stable and flat, with no pounding what so ever. You can drink a hot cup of coffee in 3' swells w/2' windwaves! (The typical S-Cal Island Run) without spilling a drop. Running with the swell is a little different and hard to discribe. The boat "walks" a little. Nothing bad, just different than a v-hull. I run 180 gals of fuel, 30 gals of water, tons of food, gear, for 3 divers, etc. to Catalina at 28 mph. No, its not a speed demon, BUT, I can do that in weather most 26' V-hulls wouldn't temp, and in comfort. The deck space is huge and very diver/fisherman friendly. The cabin is'nt huge, but, is just right for sleeping warm after a long days diving. No, mines not for sale. But, this is a great price for this boat. Feel free to ask me about this boat.

M

Re: 26' Glacier Bay Catamaran

Thanks Tommy. You should come out for a lobster dive at Rosa or Miguel. Just bring the good mojo and I'll get the gas and steaks!
