Wow Phil, that's something special even for your work. Look at how many individualized touches are in just that one picture. Beautiful.

whoa! That is psycho. Is that a Counterweight off the Back? How's the swing on that thing? Nice Work. Pushing the bar up a notch.
thanks
the butt works like a counter weight but that wasn't its purpose to start with the owner has a stainless shop and wanted me to incorporate that into the gun . it swings great the cross section dimensions are very small 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" at each end and 1 7/8 w x 1 1/2 at the center .there is also a grove on the bottom for the line to sit in . its hard to take a pic of a 6' gun and still see the details

Mike,

Really nice work. I take it that the shorter guns are for the west coasts low viz?

Re: Spearboard Gun Makers Thread

Gun just custom built for me. overall length 60", shoots a 60" 5/32" shaft. Enclosed track, 3-25" bands. Nice simple design. I really like the flared butt, although it will make attaching a second spear a bit challenging.

Thank you, Ill admit that I pick up things that I like along the way but I try to keep my style unique. Function over form but I think the two can be balanced quite nicely.

By the way

You do some awesome finishing MikeN
