Wow Phil, that's something special even for your work. Look at how many individualized touches are in just that one picture. Beautiful. |

Re: Spearboard Gun Makers Thread
Quote:
the butt works like a counter weight but that wasn't its purpose to start with the owner has a stainless shop and wanted me to incorporate that into the gun . it swings great the cross section dimensions are very small 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" at each end and 1 7/8 w x 1 1/2 at the center .there is also a grove on the bottom for the line to sit in . its hard to take a pic of a 6' gun and still see the details phil |

Re: Spearboard Gun Makers Thread
Gun just custom built for me. overall length 60", shoots a 60" 5/32" shaft. Enclosed track, 3-25" bands. Nice simple design. I really like the flared butt, although it will make attaching a second spear a bit challenging.

Re: Spearboard Gun Makers Thread
Thank you, Ill admit that I pick up things that I like along the way but I try to keep my style unique. Function over form but I think the two can be balanced quite nicely.
By the way You do some awesome finishing MikeN |
