Cressi Saetta pneumatic

Heres the specs of the Saetta: Designed to maximise the power of the shot, with high precision and speed.
A new muzzle with holes to aid water drainage.
A new soft, angle handle in white to help locate the gun on the seafloor.
Same dimensions and variants as SL and SL STAR

So? is it worth upgrading from my Star to the Saetta? Does anyone have experience with one of them? thanks in advance

Only seen these photos of it, but may be "old wine in a new bottle". Seems to be a restyle exercise rather than a complete revamp as the "Star/SL" guns have been around for decades, albeit with changes to the colour scheme. My SL70 is black with a white grip handle, but they have been grey and yellow and with red parts like the trigger and safety slide.

I would say the main mechanical change is the inner barrel is even higher up in the gun than before, note how it kicks up the rear body with respect to the tank. That is because the inner barrel holds the gun together, but the pull exerted by the ends under pressure is now even more off-center. The muzzle relief ports are larger and the trigger transmission pin may be smaller as most new generation guns have that feature.

Re: Cressi Saetta pneumatic

Nicholas thought there wasn't any air in the gun when he first loaded it. It was that easy to load. The guy who runs the store, asked if he would replace this gun with his band gun. He said he would replace both of his band guns, the 75cm and 110cm for the pneumatic. He liked the lower power for the cave and the high power for open water.

Re: Cressi Saetta pneumatic

All I see the confusion in the Face then, thanks for the translation greekdiver. I thought it was unusual to have a big gun shooting in the rocky area, now I understand he was showing low-power on video.

Re: Cressi Saetta pneumatic

I don't understand greek but greekdiver already translated it.
Looks like a great gun. I had Cyrano and it was great gun. I didn't like 6,5 mm shaft which was very easy to flex when you need to load gun fast.
New Evo must be even better.

Re: Cressi Saetta pneumatic

Cressi have released a parts diagram for the Saetta, the manual supplied with the guns does not have one. This is for the Saetta, not the Saetta Pro, the latter having a different muzzle (vacuum barrel version). https://www.cressi.com/easyUp/file/i.../SP_Saetta.pdf also contains the parts list.

Something like 6 years later than the release of the gun... unless we have missed the release of that parts diagram long ago...

This diagram has only appeared relatively recently as I looked for it once before and there was only the manual for the gun which did not have it. I assume Cressi only released this info when owners began to want parts as it does not appear on their downloads page where most of their product info is available. It was picked up on a search which showed that it was from a section of their site which has restricted access. The parts list for the Pro version is not available yet as I searched for it first.
