I've never seen her pissed. What exactly makes her angry?

Paul I don't have to ask her permission to go to the SPO, the hard part is getting her to stay at home, but for some reason she seems to think she has to keep an eye on me.

Last year I almost had her convinced she would have more fun staying at home, but then she decided I might have more fun if she stayed at home.

Re: 2006 St. Pete Open

Denny and I met with the NEW property manager today and she is very excited about the event and has offered us an exclusive rate on the rooms that is good until early June. This property is going to be sold out for sure this year. We are working on some improvements to allow the crowd a better view of the weigh-in this year as well. The only real issue last year was outside food and drink on the property and some parking issues. We will not have those issues this year. We discussed possibly keeping the restaurant open late as well. The staff was courteous enough to stay open late for us last year. There will be carts with beer and drinks out on the property so let's keep Holiday Inn happy and keep the outside drinks outside.

This year's SPO is going to be a weekend long event with a full day of activity on Sunday as well. We are working on a late checkout plan to allow everyone to stay after the award ceremony for a party and cookout on the beach at the resort.

Nick, you only weigh one fish in each category. Grouper, snapper, amberjack, hogfish, lobster, cobia, sheephead. Plan on coming down Friday and staying through Sunday.

Nick

Howie forgot to mention that there is more alcohol consumed during the SPO weigh-in (party) than the Hell Divers can even think about drinking during the Rodeo's weigh-in. That should give you a reason to make the road trip.

Re: 2006 St. Pete Open

Beer practically rains down on you as you try to weigh in your fish-as long as the drunks upstairs in tiki bar keep spilling beers...

Brian,
Call the Holiday Inn Sunspree and ask for the SPO rates.

Re: 2006 St. Pete Open

I spoke with the hotel today. The rate is $79 for a standard room and $99 for a bayside room until June 15. The rates go up $10 per night after the 15th. Ask for the SPO rate when calling, 727-490-2512. They have made arrangements to keep the restaurant open Saturday night after the weigh-in like last year.
