What a great video
Was the lion fish speared before the eel got him?

Re: Bahamas Spearfishing
Hey I'm Daniel the founder of Red Rum International. I'm Going to the Abacos From May 14-May 18, staying in Elbow Cay. I am a pretty solid Spearfisherman, especially on a pole spear. I can free-dive up to 40 ft Comfortably with a spear but will be with some novices and would not like to extend passed 30ish. We are renting a boat and are looking to freedive some good spots. I am specifically looking to land some nice hogs and grouper. I understand that the Spearfishing gets better the further NW you travel in the Abacos. I don't want to extend the range of the boat but understand I may have to travel to find good grounds. Where do you suggest that I go?
What are the names of some of the reefs? I have heard of good things happening off of Green Turtle & Treasure Cays, where else is good? Also, I would like to grab some Conchs being that lobser wont be in season. What are some good spots to grab conchs? What about Starfish for my lady friends? |
