heading down in January need advice
Heading down for a week in January whats good that time of year, water temp, what fish will be in season to catch any thing to look into I will be staying in the keys

The hogfish are pretty good in the winter months as they come into the shallows. Lobstering will be open in January also.

Water temp should be around 75 on the main reef line, need to be at least 3 miles out in Islamorada. Snapper and hogfish on the reef, grouper is closed in January.

Thanks guys. Never been down to the keys before, we rented a boat for the week hopefully get out a few times, any advice for rod and reel and spearing spots I looked at the laws and man compared to nj it's very strict

Wierd question but most bars/ restaurants/ shops are they cash only or do they take credit /debit cards

Most all take credit cards and cash. Haven't run into a cash only problem. the people are rustic and worn out themselves but there is technology down there
