I just tried a slipper lobster for the first time this week and man are they good. I personally like them a lot better than spiny's.

I've always thought they should put a season on hogfish down here. Here's what I propose 4 hogs per day per person or 16 per boat which ever is less. 14" minimum with only 3 of them being in a slot size. i.e. 14" - 18" and one per person over 18" I think this would allow the species to rebound reproduce. look at the snook population. I think at first spearfishing might slow down on the hogfish because it would take several years fror hogfish to get to size. which woul din turn releive the pressure put on them.

Your right that pic is from the infamous Murrells Inlet in Myrtle Beach and it was taken only about 2 miles from shore!
