I guess I should have kept my 1959 chevy pickup. That article is pretty disturbing.

I had a 64 F100 that was totally rebuilt and painted with red Imron paint.Straight 6 with 3 on the tree. Not a ding on her and I could sit on the wheel well to tune her without disassembling half the front end.
I gave it to a family friend that hit hard times and needed a truck to do handyman work.Truck was trashed in two years.
Also had a 72 Chevy C10 with straight 6 3 on the tree in Chevy (turquoise)medium green.
Neither trucks had A/C, factory radios, power steering or windows.
I did all my own maintenance on them with basic tools I had been buying since I was 17.

The wifes Lexus has so much crap connected to the dash touch screen its almost a driving hazard.Nice comfortable and FAST ride but I love my trucks.

Yep. Nothing like an old pickup. They were the best. Had a 56 Willys 4WD pickup too. Flat head six.
