Hammerhead Sharks ~ Mermaid Frenzy

Who does not love Hammerheads???
Well they kind of creep me out, but they still are very cool sharks!

This video shows them close up in our face https://youtu.be/Y7J8GZ0pD4o

Forgive me I'm not a lawyer however, its very obvious there is fish placed strategically around the camera person.

That more than likely could be construed to be shark feeding.

Ive seen enough from this poster to know only reason they are on this forum is to get likes on you tube.

Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

And to use refer to ones self in third person as a mermaid. I'm mean like WTF?

Yep, definitely baited. How the hell do Hammerheads see where they're going w/ the eyes on the side?? So different from typical predators with forward facing vision. They don't bother me much...small mouths, and relatively harmless to divers.

I understand where you’re coming from, the click bait is very obnoxious and I think chumming and feeding sharks is the ****ing stupidest thing ever. Definitely changes how sharks interact with divers and it’s not positive, all for some picture and videos.

However, it seems like half the time I read your post you’re being a dick. Who knows maybe they’re in state waters, could be federal. It’s never good to assume, it makes an ass of you and me.

Hammerheads have very large dorsal and caudal fins. This allows them to spin around super fast, I think it also facilitates their swim pattern which often includes the head wiggling back and forth.

They do have relatively small mouths. However, it was the only type of shark I was pretty sure i had to shoot. I have heard stories from some extremely experienced divers that they are normally pretty timid, but when they get turned on, they can be one of the most persistent and troublesome sharks.

They can grow to be giant. I've seen the head of one that was over 4 feet - eye to eye.

Roger that, on their size. I've seen some big ones in Tampa Bay that will bite a Tarpon in half. Seemingly, they've never been a threat to me.
