You guys been to Glendo yet? I had a buddy up there this past weekend mapping trees for a hook and line touney but he's not a great judge of water clarity...lol.

Re: Wyoming Vis Report

Had to send my wetsuit back to get a seam fixed that the thread came out and was coming unglued. So no fishing this weekend. Anybody have any suggestions within 3 hours from Fort Collins for me to try, give me a shout. I want to try Rob Roy up in the mountains but I am not sure how the access road is yet.

Just an FYI on Nebraska, you are correct that game fish dosent open until July first and June first for Box Butte, but nongame fish is open year round if you want to try and plug a big carp.

Find anything interesting? I have been wanting to go float down the section below the dam just to pick up crap.

Re: Wyoming Vis Report

So I was working at Horsetooth this morning and stopped to look at the water. The water off of the rocks at Spring Canyon (southmost) Dam looked like it had 8'+ vis. As soon as I get my wetsuit back I am going to do a little freedive practice up there for that course at Rifle. SO frustrating we cant spear there!

Re: Wyoming Vis Report

Jumped into Horsetooth today to try out my new watch. 7' to 8' vis. Wasn't spearing obviously but didn't see any fish anyway. Had a horrible time today equalizing, I don't normally have an issue. Best dive was only 23'! Not what I was hoping for. Guess I just got to get more practice.

Wide open in still water, not rivers. They are in the state regulations. Same as h&l except a little more limited on walleye. Couldn't make it out this weekend. Hoping for saturday.

Re: Wyoming Vis Report

Went up to Glendo today in spite of the wind. I wont be able to go for a couple weeks after this so, now was my chance. The dam area was blown out. Drove back to the cove you see when you first drive in. Jumped in there. Vis varied between 4 to maybe 7 feet (maybe) at a few spots. Spent about 3 hours in the water, only saw 1 fish but didn't get a shot on it. Hopefully the wind calms over the next few weeks and the vis continues to clear. I do feel like it is improving.
