Was at Saguaro on Sat, vis 8-10 and temps at 68 no suit only spent 1.5hrs in the water and saw zero shootable fish. Lots of 3-6lbs bass.
There is a member that charters down to Port Lobos for $450 for 4-days. http://www.mediabyjohn.com/lobos/report.html

Re: Nevada and Arizona visibility reports

My co-worker and I went out rod and reel fishing yesterday on my boat (can't get the guy to try spearing). Didn't get a single bite but was surprised at how clear the water looked towards the south end of the canyon. Depth gague said 20 feet and we could clearly make out the bottom in most coves. I don't know what's happening with the striper, not a single bite in four hours drifting with anchovies/lures. I know I know, it's time to get back in the water! Just need a reliable dive partner with a similar schedule. Off Thur, Fri, Sat if interested in hitting the river. Own a boat in storage at Cottonwood and have a kayak at home. Pm me if you want to go out, gonna be sooner rather than later.

Re: Nevada and Arizona visibility reports

I dove Lake Pleasant last weekend with water temps probably in the 70s. I'm basing this off the fact I dove without a wetsuit and I was very comfortable in the water for 2+ hours. Visibility was about 10-15 feet at about 20-30 feet down although there was something like an algae bloom near the surface. I did not see any carp but there were plenty of largemouth bass cruising around.

Re: Nevada and Arizona visibility reports

was out wheeling yesterday to boathouse cove and decided to take the spear gun out since it sat for over a year while i got my stuff together. vis was 15-20 feet managed to get my first carp on my first shot with the gun so cant complain there. would have had a second but i left my dive knife in the truck and am not familiar with carp dispatch so i went back for the knife. Passed a good 18 inch skinny large mouth who was interested in my. unfortunately i was with my brother and dog so didnt venture far seen a few that darted into the weeds as i passed. could only get one run after that vis went to 2 feet from the muck.

after i got out i decided to climb one of the hills and look down didnt see much so i tossed in a rock and about 12 carp came up in the center of the weeds, which were THICK! so i konw the spot holds alot and id probably have better luck in the AM when they are sunning.
