Freaking jealous man. You’re eating good for a long time.

Re: Daily Vis report thread

If it pulled you under and you had time to fight it from the rocks then you had solid penetration. Sounds like he tore off instead, which is a shot placement issue. You said you fought from rocks...unless you're out of line/holding on to your float, dont. Go easy on him and finess him to the surface... let him tire out.

Going to haunt me for a long time

Dove Manasquan river yesterday, 7-10’ viz and ended up with a bass at 34” lots of bunker and mullet in the river and I’m sure that’s why there was also lots of bass.

Hell of a haul. Nice spadefish. I’ve never seen one in our waters. Heard mixed reviews on their taste though I’m sure I would enjoy them. Still loaded with the sand tigers and rays down that way?

I had good viz in Manasquan yesterday (8-10'), but coming around the corner to the inlet side, the viz took a nosedive and the current was ripping.

Hopped in at the high tide at Shark River and lucked out upon a personal best fluke. 8.3#, 26.5"

I didn’t see any sand tigers but rays on every drop and at one point a school over a minute long just kept coming I had to surface before it ended. Small ones in the school.

Re: Daily Vis report thread

Got in today again, cloudy 7-10’ similar to the past few days though. Came out with a 32’ bass to make it three stripers on the week. I’m a spoiled diver I guess lol

Re: Daily Vis report thread

Awesome weekend diving with orbayburak. It's always great to get back to South Jersey for some spearfishing. Found plenty of mahi just a few miles off the beach. I shot the big one and it pulled off, but orbayburak reloaded in time to put in the kill shot so he gets 75% credit!

Re: Daily Vis report thread

I was wondering why no one posted the excellent vis the past few days in NJ shallow water?

Yeah today and yesterday on the outgoing we’re awesome. Shot my first weakfish. I saw a 22” Spanish mackerel and missed my chance trying to line up a better shot.

Nice job on the Weakfish. I saw my first weakfish on Friday morning but I had no chance of even lining up a shot. Thing bolted real quick. Was happy to see it though, as it’s been a long time since I’ve even gotten one on rod and reel. Don’t think we will be diving for awhile, but it’s been nice to get out while we could.
