Its been a slow start, but standing has started. New paint and repower will hopefully be complete by march. Have mostly been going around the hull an fixing any old nicks and dings, old screw holes, etc.

If anyone missed this Radon 29' in 2008 (last listed at $169,000), it's back up for sale:

Not sure about designing/building a new hull only to slap a bracket on it...but...seems to go pretty well with a Honda 250!

I believe Don has one of the new 20' boats at the Fred Hall show in Long Beach. The show ends this Sunday -- I'm going to try to make it there this weekend to check it out.

Re: California Dive Boats -- the legend of Radon (pictures)

Gas Shock for engine hatch, finally. I've been struggling with this large, and heavy, full width hatch for a year, almost. I made a heavy duty safety leg to hold it open, but it was always a bitch to open and close. I finally got some cash to purchase a pair of struts. After much guessing and planning, chose a pair of 120 lb, 20"x12" Sierra struts from iBoats.About $120 after the two pair of SS brackets. I had to cut the thin inner skin, remove foam, and put in a 1/2" backing of Starboard. Now a toddler can open and close the hatch, and it stays open!
I still use the HD safety rod with quick Bimini pins.

Boatbuilder is Sven Andersen in San Francisco. He has built quite a few nice Radon and Wilson dive boats. Great workmanship and reputation for detail in glasswork.
