Is it strange they are in the bay at this time of year? There was a lot of menhaden around also...
I spend a lot of time boating the bay and have never seen one this time of year inside the bay. Late Oct ish they show up big time. But anything is possible, right?

Around 5 weeks ago there was a dolphin in a school of bluefish outside the airport.

the bay is totally full of bait of all sizes, so that seal probably came in for a snack. I assume it was a little black one and not a huge gray one? the grey ones come in larger numbers every year.

Went to Jamestown on high tide. Crappy viz, as expected, but plenty of life in the murk.
With some passion and luck you will not be empty.
Got limit on togs and killed this funny-face striper.

Viz still crappy around Jamestown. Went on kayak this morning just to fight 5 ft waves and crazy wind. Good for me it was South wind. Shot couple togs only.

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread

Shot a pretty sweet tog over at House about a week and a half ago, before all the rain. Vis was pretty good and seems to hold out better than other bay spots when there's rain.

Also, crossing my fingers to get out somewhere between thursday and sunday, feel free to pm me if you'd like some company!

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread

To be honest... I didn't try too hard to weigh it, we had a cheap old grip scale that was + or - a few pounds that we think put it at 14lbs.

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread

Still shitty viz, scarce fish, but togs are still here. Got my limit out of Newport.
I'm not even sure if anyone read this tread at all, but it's fun to read my own messages from 2-3-4 years ago, during long cold winter evenings %)
