Re: Submersible Is First to Reach Bottom of Atlantic Ocean

This guy has gone to the North Pole, the South Pole, climbed the highest mountains on each continent, and is now visiting the deepest spots in every ocean. Wonder if he will be satisfied after all of that? Or will he be left with the empty feeling of: What do I do after this?

Re: Submersible Is First to Reach Bottom of Atlantic Ocean

James Cameron went to the bottom of the ocean in his own deep submergence vehicle and filmed both the engineering preparations for the dive and the dive itself. These benthic excursions carry a high degree of risk and there is always a probability of failure, so spin the roulette wheel of life too many times and bad numbers may eventually come up. As cameras can record in the deep I figure there is no point in going down there and peering through tiny windows a foot or so thick.
