Baja Sur Towns & Pangaderos
Going to be going down to Baja Sur from December 30 to January 12. We want to mainly cover the area between La Paz and San Jose del Cabo, but are open to surrounding areas if there's anything too good to pass up (I've heard pacific side has been hot lately). I'm looking for suggestions of towns/areas worth researching and possibly diving out of. Specifically areas where it's going to be a little more doable to find pangaderos who will take us out for gas money and a cut of the fish. I know that's going to be tougher in the La Paz and Cabo area because they don't want to piss off the actual charters. To be clear I'm not really looking for real charters, we'd prefer to do some old fashioned hitchhiking. We're also keen to do some shore diving. I've had great success shore diving outside of San Jose del Cabo before, so I'll be stoked for more of that, but I also wouldn't mind getting dropped on some pelagics. Thanks in advanced!

"I've had great success shore diving outside of San Jose del Cabo"
Would you mind pointing me to some good areas? I'm going to SJ del Cabo Jan 12-19 and will be looking for places to shoredive for sierras (and if lucky some pelagics). Also, if you find some good pangaros and don't mind sharing their info, it'd be super helpful. Thank you!! |

What does Pandagero even mean? If you can't take even 1 minute you research what you are trying to do out in Mexico just don't go.

Re: Baja Sur Towns & Pangaderos
Trip was great, epic conditions at times, connected with locals and ended up on some great spots via panga as well as finding some amazing new shore dive spots. Good luck!!!
