Need Help and Advice Please....
I have caught Lobsters in California, Florida and Hawaii; both Spiney and Slipper. I am now trying to plan a trip to the east coast to get me one of those Lobsters with CLAWS. I would appreciate any help in getting this accomplished. I will pay all expenses to accomplish this. THANKS.
If you come to California, I will reciprocate BIG TIME.

If you dive out of New Jersey here are "da rules":
http://scubanj.org/LobsterRegulations2013NJ.html No license required, but you need to register (free) with the "Feds": http://www.nj.gov/dep/saltwaterregistry/index.html Unless the dive boat is registered as a charter.

Re: Need Help and Advice Please....
For New York, you are out of luck. They do not permit out of State visitors to land lobster. Just confirmed this with their DEC.

Re: Need Help and Advice Please....
Your best bet will probably be NJ, in which you'll have to head on a scuba charter as they're typically deeper. Unless you own $5k worth of real estate in MA, you won't be able to get a permit.

Re: Need Help and Advice Please....
Just confirmed with MA Marine Fisheries, you must "own more than five thousand dollars in real estate within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts" and be "a citizen of the United States, temporarily residing or intending to temporarily reside in the Massachusetts coastal city or coastal town".

Re: Need Help and Advice Please....
I would check out Scubaboard the NE section ... a lot more lobster divers. Legally, up here (New England) it will be tough to impossible for you to get it done. Most states in this area are lobstering by residents only.
