Ear Issue
Looking for suggestions on how to resolve the following issue...or maybe I just need to go to the Dr.
I went diving on a multi day trip about 2.5 weeks ago, and just prior to going I got a bit of a sinus infection. Since I was not going to miss this trip, I dove all 3 days anyways. I was sure to take decongestion two times a day, and didnt have much trouble equalizing. The second day of diving, we dove hard all day, constantly up and down. That night my hearing was extremely dull; it was hard to identify who was talking when multiple people were talking, or talking softly. Since then my sinus infection has gone away and my hearing has gotten better, but it still feels like my ears are slightly plugged up, and I still have trouble hearing people clearly in crowded places. Occasionally I get a solid ringing noise in my ears that last awhile, but nothing that drives me crazy. Has anyone had a similar situation that they have been able to resolve? I've read with similar things, that it will eventually fade, and I should keep taking decongestion medicine daily, which I have been doing....its just getting old at this point. Any thoughts are welcome...otherwise maybe it just time for a Dr's visit. |
