Re: my 2014 tuna season
4th trip of the year... This is the one of June. Got 4 YFTs this time, medium sized to small. I did see nice big cows, but they are so fast in this kind of water.
One to go, in July. |

Re: my 2014 tuna season
Ok we are in 2015 but I don't feel like opening a new thread...
Here is a video of a nice cow shot 2 days ago... just see the speed of the buoys (watch in HD).. You can see the Rob Allen float after that experience... not suited for that exercise. Last edited by adzhoo; 04-20-2015 at 03:43 PM. |

Re: my 2015 tuna season
Video footage of 3 days of intense tuna chasing, taken on June 2015. The video starts on Hannibal Bank, and then we looked and found the tunas on the East. We perfected this art for some years now, and if we avoid the full moon period when their behavior seems more random, the question is not if we will bring home some tunas but how many and how big! We could land 7 small and medium-sized tunas on that trip. I could see big ones, but not close enough. Most of the shots were taken from far away. |

Re: my 2014 tuna season
Awesome! How deep do the schools usually hang out?

Re: my 2014 tuna season
Thanks!
They do go down and up, and there seems to have no limit on how deep they can go, but when chasing them, the best is using a 50 feet bungee, you don't need to go deeper, just get there fast! On Hannibal bank, a 100 feet bungee is preferable. |

Re: my 2014 tuna season
Nice. I'm glad you found them in such a clear water.
