Re: Just had my first Blackout/Samba
the body never fails in telling you, when you need to breathe. the mind is very powerful and capable of telling the body, when to and when not to breathe.
if you do not push apnea limits, you will not experience blackout. with tank. you have a reliable guage telling you how much time you have left. (IMHO: any depth beyond 33' - time to start considering strapping on a tank.) with apnea. no guage. pushing the limits = going into borrowed time. you never know when u will run out and blackout. (IMHO: when the initial urge to breathe comes calling, straight to the surface regardless what is at the bottom) be glad it was just the kitchen floor. if you want to continue pushing apnea limits - (1) get professional training and (2a) get a permanent buddy or (2b) FRV. anything less is just . |
