Re: Coated cable from catchalltackle.com

May be worth buying the screwdriver bit to tighten up the hinge, you can get them in those driver bit sets with multiple exchangeable tips.

Re: Coated cable from catchalltackle.com

I put the 275lb coated cable to test this week in Baja with a 44lb yellowtail wrapping the line around rocks. A lot of the line had its coating stripped but the cable was completely intact. Story here.

I also carried the small 4.5" pliers I linked in my previous post. They fit perfectly in my Mako pants pocket. They'll likely be rusted after this week but they're less than $10 and easy to replace. I'll put some anti-corrosion coating on them for my next trip.

Nooo Jon, what did you do, haha?
Make this one public again, please, please, pretty please

I wanted to link to it on a Danish forum where importance of having proper safety gear was being discussed.

Re: Coated cable from catchalltackle.com

anyone tried the Mac Coltellerie [maker of a lot of the popular branded dive knives] cable cutters?

https://www.mac-coltellerie.it/en/product/303/rs16.html

be nice if they reliably cut 1.8mm SS cable

still using the Miller KS-1 shears here, but even rinsing carefully they dull quickly, and at US$40 a pair landed here, expensive to keep buying
