nicaragua
We're heading down to the southern zone in April. Does anyone have any diving information? I'm planning to hunt down a panga at Astillero and hopefully get in a day or two.
I'd like to hunt pelagics if anyone is willing to share some info on that. I'm just wondering if anyone can share their experiences or suggestions. Thanks |

Hey fishnstix . Im planning on going to Playa Colorado on a Surf trip and going to bring my riffe 120x for light bluewater or pargos. Any info on your resent trips would be great.. I heard Astillero is good for Pargo . Any guides you recommend I speak Spanish and dive regularly in Miami and the Bahamas Thanks

Re: nicaragua
I would go to surf and bring your dive gear in case it clears up enough to spear. I have seen rooster fish off of colorado. I bent a lot of shaft on pargos, so bring an extra shaft if you have it.

Re: nicaragua
I live in Gigante and do charters with the best local divers if interested.
FYI: Nicaraguan customs are confiscating all spearguns and spearfishing gear because they currently class it as a "weapon" Try bringing it into the country at own risk if they find it they will take it away. I started another thread a month ago to let everyone know about this. |

Re: nicaragua
I was going to chance it and take my gun in my surfboard bag, but changed my mind now. On your charters to you have equipment rentals available? I will be at a vacation rental at Colorados June 18-27.

Re: nicaragua
Anyone else have any updates on bringing spearfishing equipment aka guns into nicaragua? Any spots you suggest? I see a lot of people getting dodos on hook and line as they boat to and from surf spots.
