Reef Monitoring Lionfish Safari Sept. 8-10

Reef Monitoring welcomes everyone in the Tampa Bay area to come out and have a fun-filled weekend at the World's Largest Lionfish Safari.
We are hosting this multi-day festival in N. Straub Park in beautiful downtown St. Petersburg!
We will have two-days of lionfish tasting, music and activities.
FWC will be crowning their Lionfish King and Queen at this event so you don't want to miss it!

The event is free for the public to attend. Food and beverages will be available.

As usual we will have our tournament available for divers to enter. Diving days will be Friday and Saturday. Cash prizes for most lionfish, largest lionfish and smallest lionfish! 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category so plenty of chances to win!

Valid SPL holders will be able to sell their catch to legit wholesalers on-site so you commercial guys can compete too!

Visit lionfishsafari.org for more details and additional info posted as it becomes available!

Feel free to post here to ask questions as well or contact us at lionfishsafari@reefmonitoring.org

We'd like to welcome back Whole Foods Market as one of our sponsors for the Lionfish Safari 2017!

Associate Culinary Team Leader Chef Philip Hiserodt of Whole Foods Market will be at the event demonstrating how to prepare Shrimp Étouffee with Blackened Lionfish!
See the recipe below.
Philip comes with passion for food that is like fire and fury, the likes of which the world as never seen! Come check out his fire & fury at the Lionfish Safari, September 9-10 at North Straub Park.
