Re: AR-15 FOR SALE*** 16" dpms/delton/spikes tactical

Reloading is cheap as long as you can go slow, the faster you want to go the more your press is going to cost. I need shit to fly so i have a 5 station progressive press, my buddy uses a pair of single stage presses and does pretty consistent loads.

I have paid for all of my equipment a few times over but i do shoot alot, so results are not typical.

I've cast thousands of pounds of lead, with no raised serum lead in 50+ years of doing it. Simply keep track of the wind direction and ventilation and don't get it any hotter than you absolutely have to to get a good mold fill. It's also wise to wash your hands before eating or drinking anything not in a closed container when casting operations are in progress.

Folks my age picked up almost their entire body lead loading from automotive exhaust of methyl-ethyl lead fuel additives. That stopped being used in the mid-'70s and was replaced by something much worse for you.

Metallic lead is hazardous if it either hits you with high kinetic energy or splashes on you. Those splashes can leave some neat scars, and I have more than my fair share of them. Eventually you learn not to let it splash AT ALL. Metallic lead has to be converted to a soluble salt or vapor in order for the body to pick it up.
