I Go Both Ways and I like it. Nice bugs.

Now that I have your attention. Yes, I will dive scuba during lobster season. And no, I don't always target big bugs but Julian convinced me to go with him this year's opener.

If anyone knows Julian, you know how he is when it comes to shells, fish, or lobster. He's pretty serious, maybe too much. He shows up at my place at 1:30 pm for a night dive! We drive down to the boat and it is already in the water at the ramp.

I guess it was worth it because we pulled some big bugs and limits between about 8 pm and 10 pm. Biggest bugs were 12.4, 9.2, and 9.1 pounds. Pic is of Julian with biggest bug. Maybe I'll join him for opener again sometime. Back to regular size bugs for the season. Best, Mike.

you might be surprised Errin. There are plenty of spots that hold giant bugs other than the break wall. I've probably caught 20 or so 10lbs or bigger and I've never gotten a 10 on a break wall although I've dove them plenty.

Nice job Mike. When the bugs move deep please give me a call. I'll go both ways with you.

absolutely. But don't be fooled by Mike's location. He's a bit hardcore and will drive just about anywhere to score.

We left out of HB ramp Saturday......and I have a boat in water at RB. I barely got out on my little boat yesterday for bugs. John, get ready to wake up early and get some bugs.

Hmmm, I may have or may not have been diving Mario's secret spots. Oh, I forgot, there are no secret spots. I'm still waiting to freedive spots holding 50# bag limits!

There are "No-secret spots" and then there are "No-No" spots- which are also Not a secret.

...Those bugs look highly suspect!!!!

Re: I Go Both Ways and I like it. Nice bugs.

All good. Julian is serious so we had a spot staked out early, and then it was scuba, and then we had some good luck. We were already talking about going straight home if didn't get any size instead of to Redondo when we pulled those three. And yes, I went bug diving this week at 3 am and then drove straight to work. Nice limit too. Mario, we got to go out one night, or day soon. Mike
