More big AJ's

We had another great trip on Bonanza on Sunday with some real good friends! We each got a new personal best amberjack! Tim got a 51 lb jack, his biggest fish to date. Moose got one that weighed 74 lbs. Mischa's went 92 lbs and mine weighed in at 131, my biggest jack by far!!.

I got tired of messing with the floats and lines so I switched to a reel and made one dive at our last stop looking for a cobia or mangrove when this fish swam up to me and I quickly stoned it with my DeathStick!!

Re: More big AJ's

It was too much fun! I had no idea how big it was until I tried to get it in the boat. After I shot it rolled over and slowly floated to the surface. I'm still grinning!

Re: More big AJ's

No rigs around here. We shot these on wrecks off Destin in 130-100 feet of water. Sometimes we can see the jacks from the surface. I shot mine at 60 feet.
