Re: MAKO Spearguns: New Fins, New Reel etc.

Quick Update Everyone:

We now have reel mounting brackets which will accommodate wood guns that have a flat section underneath the stock.

Same, easy on/easy off functionality as provided with the railgun mount.

We've also added a DIY section which shows how to properly mount the plate to a railgun.

Re: MAKO Spearguns: New Fins, New Reel etc.

Just got my reel in today. I asked a while back whether the base was compatible with the RA base on another thread. They are compatible. Reel looks to be 4" wide, 1/2" wider than the RA, and are the same height. Now if they could offer a spacer for wood guns so that you won't have to trim down the line holder....

EDIT: Just tried it with additional base plate and it clears the gun. I guess Mako does already sell a spacer.

What is the proper use of the line holder?

Re: MAKO Spearguns: New Fins, New Reel etc.

Just got my competition freediver fins in the pool for the first time yesterday. All the review they need is to say I can't wait to get out hunting with them.
