Here is an easy way to get info.
We may even have teams from New Zealand, and Australia.
Sign up early to get your team in and get shirts.
There is also a Juniors-Womens individual division. they can team up with anyone they want to.

Re: 2015 Fresh Water Nationals

I think I'll try to make it out to this one, seeing as I'm in Missoula. Anyone that needs a partner, let me know. I should be able to take a week off and get out there for some scouting.

Re: 2015 Fresh Water Nationals

I would love to get there, but a long way to come. Here in New Zealand we just had our 6th annual Great Lake Taupo Catfish Cull - brown bullhead catfish were released here a while ago, and fishermen are happy for us to wipe them out. We allow polespears only. This year 198 divers speared 1736 catfish, with the top pair shooting 126 fish. Great soical occasion too.

Re: 2015 Fresh Water Nationals

They are small, average less than a pound, but spearing that many refines your skills! They are also pretty skittish, and you have to chase them down!

Re: 2015 Fresh Water Nationals

Talk to Darren Shields, as he is putting together a group to come here to dive our Fresh Water Nationals. New Zealand has some of the best divers in the world and I am excited to have you all involved in our meet.
Darren's Daughter, Gemma, will bring a whole new level of competition to the women-Juniors division. Watch out New Zealand may bring 3-5 teams in to make us really for for this on

It will be good for the event - haven't received my invite to be part of the NZ yet, might have to wait a long time! I am sure they will enjoy your hospitality

Re: 2015 Fresh Water Nationals

Time to get signed up and save some $$, April 1st is the dead line to make sure you get the discount and the right size shirt, meals......

We have 7 divers confirmed from New Zealand. 3 full teams and a solo
So we need a strong diver that can commit for the full week of scouting to come in and buddy with one of New Zealand's best.
We will be hosting there teams on our boats M-Th, for scouting, so if you can come early and show some real US hospitality by taking out a different team each of these 4 days please let me know.
This is an amazing opportunity to meet the very best divers from NZ, get to know them for a full day, train them for our local fish, and learn lots of new stuff from them. If you have the time and the room on your boat PLEASE me know.
