Diving/spear fishing around the Tortugas

Heading from Marco Island to Fort Jefferson and want to do some spearfishing along the way there and back. Anyone have any good recommendations for areas, wrecks, reefs, walls, etc?

Re: Diving/spear fishing around the Tortugas

The towers are worth a stop, the W tower north of the Tortugas usually holds a nice mix of life from cobia and permit to the occasional cubera. Check out noaa's bathymetry for dive spots, there's some detailed covered to the west of the Tortugas.

To use it de-select everything except the box titled "BAG Color Shaded Relief" that's their high quality high resolution 3d bottom imaging.
