Re: need some information on Gonzaga Bay
Can't believe you haven't gotten any info yet!!
I don't know if they take credit cards, I've always paid cash and still do, but they could have it by now.. Definitely exchange your $$ ahead of time, pretty bad exchange rates in Gonzaga. There is water, but it might not be hot, pressurized, or in a shower unless you stay at the hotel in Alfonsina's. If you have any questions, they have a Facebook and they are active on it! https://www.facebook.com/Rancho-Gran...18804/?fref=ts Hope you enjoy your trip, its my favorite place in Baja!

Re: need some information on Gonzaga Bay
I've camped at Papa Fernandez-Willard point twice in the last couple of weeks. Pit toilet and no water. They opened the restaurant at 8 pm for our dinner after bombing thru the dirt section of hwy 5. Buluga was closed for some reason on the 7th.

Re: need some information on Gonzaga Bay
If you don't order the tostadas and a chile relleno at the Papa's cantina, something is wrong with you!
Shrimp tacos at Alfonsina's are great, but the service has really gotten bad in the past few years. I have ordered and never gotten food more than once, and it happens fairly regularly. I, and other locals, have pretty much given up on them. There is also decent camping a bit further south at Punta Final. Similar to camping at the point at Papa's. A bit less protection than at Papa's, so not a good option if north wind decides to blow. At Papa's, there are some sand berms that offer marginal protection, but I have still seen plenty of tents collapsed.
