Hi, are you getting my private messages? Not sure if they are going through. Now interested in the 50 Wong. Wondering if you have float line or a feel for it. Looking to make a quick purchase. Ships to NC. Thanks, Peter

    Hi Chris,

Tying your own bands is really easy and a lot cheaper than buying them already made. On Spearboard there used to be several articles on how to do that. Surely, some of your diving friends should be able to tell you how.

The way I do it, I buy some 9/16" band material and have one end tied up already with a constrictor knot. Then, I cut it a little longer in length than what is on the gun now and try it in the gun. You can put the bands in the gun. You can put a 5th band in after you load the first four but I would not load it on the shaft. (Steve Alexander is right, 4, 9/16" bands are plenty good.) This will give you an idea how easy or hard it is to pull the new band. Each band material differs in strength. The four bands, which are on there now, worked out well for me.

I hope this helps? If not, give me a call: 808-373-2540.

    Pete

Hey man, thanks for the speedy delivery! I recieved the gun, but have been out of town. If you have any recommendations for what to set the gun up with it would be very helpful. I don't tie my own bands so I don't know how long to buy them without having to cut them. Steve Alexander says to not put anymore than 4 9/16 bands on the gun, but I know you had more than that on there. Anything helps, thanks.
