Hi Propman, Judging by your name you would be the gentleman i would talk to about getting a new/different propeller for my engine? if so i have a 2005 225 optimax on the back of my 25 aquasport ccp. the propeller on the engine is the old prop off of my old 200 offshore(used to hit 5500 wot).. right now i dont have a tach, but im guessing the engine is spooling up pretty high and its only going about 35mph.. my mechanic (though i am not sure i trust his opinion) recommended a 15.5-19 pitch? (i have no idea what that means) but if you would be willing to take a look, or re pitch the prop or what ever let me know

In the process of repowering a 27 Contender with the new F300's. We run our boat very heavy 90% of the time with 15 plus tanks, 200 gal gas 400 lbs ice and gear. There is very little data available on props and performance. At the Miami boat show we took a ride out on a 31 with the 300's. They were runnning Yamaha 4 blade 21 pitch, props that were almost 16 inch diameter. We were told there a new line in the SDS model. Can't find anything on Yamaha's web site so don't have the exact specs. Looking for suggestions on target props. Suggestions? thanks -mark
