2008 Nationals
Planning for the 08' event is going very well. We have secured the banquet location (Green Valley Country Club), have designed a logo and shirt ( a few designs actually which we need to choose one from) and have begun work on several other issues that need to be addressed. I am availabe through e-mail (nationals08@cox.net) and spearboard to answer any questions. Also, as mentioned in a previous thread, our web-site is also up and running. The site, www.nationals08.com will be continually updated as new information comes in. Thanks to all of you who have been working on this project.

Re: 2008 Nationals
Sounds like a great event and I was hoping to attend. Unfortunately the team I qualified with is not able to attend and I am left without a team. I would be interested in making up the 3rd member on a team that needs one.

Re: 2008 Nationals
You have to be a member of a USOA club. Clubs typically send members to Nationals based on the results of local meets. Check with your local club.
I'm not sure about the under 18, but there is a US Junior Championships that is typically held in RI. This year it will be in at Sachuest Point, RI on July 27, 2008. N. Atlantic Junior Championships Sachuest Pt, 10am to 1pm Pre-registration required CONTACT: Anne Doherty, Mass Freedivers http://groups.yahoo.com/group/massfreedivers (617)688-4319, (617)924-1024 massfreedivers@yahoo.com |
Re: 2008 Nationals
the rules dont talk about walkie-talkies. i have a handheld vhf, is that allowed on my yak?
also, does the compass in my dive watch count as my compass required for safety gear? (it works fine) |
Re: 2008 Nationals
The rules for the N. Atlantic meets are not the same rules as for the Nationals. Check with Rob on the radios and compasses for Nationals. The N.Atlantic meet rules do require a compass, but do not specify the type.
