Anyone have any experience with these islands? Any spearing?

I went for my honeymoon 2 years ago. We stayed at Ocean Club West. The Islands were great and I will definitely go back. We did a sight seeing scuba dive that was nice, but no spearing. The boat captain said he would take me lobster diving and pole spearing, but we ran out of time. Rules are similar to bahamas I believe. No guns, no scuba.

We went bonefishing, but the wind was howling. We ended up catching a bunch of snappers. Saved a few and cooked them on the grill at the hotel. OC west was great. small kitchen in the room, washer and dryer.

The trip was awesome. Go eat at Mango Reef. Twice. Skip Coyaba, food was good, but really expensive.

Make your dinner reservations a day or two ahead of time.

I had a tough time getting much feedback on this topic. Below is my followup to my initial question that you might find useful:

When I was on Grand Turks in 2006, they did not allow spearfishing. One thing I will warn you about on Grand Turks, if you are going in the summer months, bring mosquito repellent and plan on spending a lot of money for food if you plan on eating out. We ended up going to the local grocery store and bought supplies of food for our stay. We saved a shitload of money doing it this way. :thumps::beer::beer:
