bummer, were you wearing polarized shades when you were looking down the cliff? somehow that light filtration makes the water bluer, kinda deceptive.

Looked good topside at 6am at your favorite west of Dume spot. Got in and was greeted with 2 ft viz, kicked to the middle of the bed, 8ft viz at best down at 50ft. The water temp was very consistent...

Thanks for the report shafe. Did you notice any effect on the kelp due to the storm? People are saying the swell ripped up a lot of kelp south of LA what about Malibu?

anybody see what these off shore santa anas are doing to the viz/water quality/ swell? considering this storm was pretty nasty, if there is any measurable positive effect these nor easterlies have.

nitrogen of course. blocks the brain cells the same way alcohol does, its called the tequila effect or martini effect some places. Every 10 meters or so is like knocking back another shot of rot gut.

Hit it yesterday after the fog burned off/clouds blew over, West of Dume 15-20ft viz, minimal wind, 1.5 ft swell. Nice relaxing dive after two weeks of no time in the water.
