Re: California Spearos Bartering Thread

I'm looking for a Youth Size open cell freediving suit. I would prefer a 7mm, but a decent 5 mm will likely do as well. My kid is 4'10" and over 90 lbs.

I realize he is likely to outgrow anything...

Re: Santa Barbara Conditions Report "Perma-Thread"

I wanted to thank everybody who helped me grow as a spearo, this goes for both the SB and SLO permathreads.

This is me signing out.

Best wishes, and good luck everyone!

Re: Santa Barbara Conditions Report "Perma-Thread"

Nice work Anthony! Sounds like great conditions too.

How is your big rig working out for you, or are you still running the Mako?

Re: Simple Calico Bass Ceviche Recipe

When I fillet calico, or sandbass that is all I see. I don't remember the last one that was not crawling. The bummer is that I do like the meat. Anyway, to each their own. I am more interested in...

Re: Simple Calico Bass Ceviche Recipe

Yes, gross Errin. Pick a safer fish, or leave it in the lime juice for much longer, or freeze at the proper temp for the recommended amount of time. Or otherwise potentially risk an extended GI...

Re: freediving mask recs??

Technisub Micromask is a solid option. Small , low volume , seals well, very comfy too. A good shave is a must for this one, and for the best seal it likes the strap below the crown. All and all,...

Re: Santa Barbara Conditions Report "Perma-Thread"

Had a pretty slow night below SB. The temp was 59F. The swell was small, but the surge was moderate. Viz was 5-7 for the most part. The crawl was poor. We worked hard for the bugs we bagged.

Re: Santa Barbara Conditions Report "Perma-Thread"

Nice fish guys, all around.

J. is right Errin. Big boy threads are 1/2 filled with guys that don't deserve to know; waste of time for the most part. Just my thought on it...

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

I actually dare you to come over and have some. I have a bagel, cream cheese, and some sweet onion with your name on it. My thought is you have not made it over yet because of the quarantine/"death...

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

The last of my stash from the summer, hot smoked; I thought I would share. I am thus regaining the incentive to go out and shoot something with an attitude.

Re: SLO Dive Conditions

If you bring it, it shall be. I could bring the mini Weber, but you should try to get ridd of your work shift so you can actually stay and relax after the dip.

Unhappy Re: Santa Barbara Conditions Report "Perma-Thread"

If I would venture a guess you ended up in the LMC (loss of motor control) stage of the blackout disaster sequence. Just one small step away from blackout, as you figured. Very scary stuff; glad you...
