I little north of there is the natural gas pipeline that a lot of us spearfish. It is on your GPS. Anywhere outside the channel markers from 40'-100' can hold fish.

Egmont Channel Spearfishing

Has anyone spearfished the Egmont Channel lately outside the Skyway? What is the best depth to start at?

We are thinking of checking it out when the weather clears up.

Great video! I have a World Cat 266 I just got this past summer. Nothing beats a cat for diving IMO! Later I'll check out your other videos and maybe post a few of mine if you are interested.

So how do they look on you GPS? Is it just numbers or bottom topography? Also are there the red lines that follow the contours of the ledge like on the website?

We have been using Middle Keys Scuba Center and have had great service. Drop off the tanks by boat and pick them up in 30 min. They are very nice and their dive shop is like a museum.

Thanks for all the information. I did the "look for white spots" a number of years ago, but prefer to dive with tanks in deeper water if possible. we have no issues with the 10'-15' vis in channels...
