Re: "Off season" pursuits and bragging thread

Nice deer Adam! A Mue Deer with a bow seems like quite the challenge. Hopefully we will catch up this coming spring and exchange some stories.

Re: Diver dies tangled in kelp

I saw this trip get posted on the Washington Freedivers facebook page. This diver (Marcus) seemed like a very enthusiastic and dedicated diver. I did cringe a little when the brand new freediver...

Neil check your pm's.

I am off for the summer and while having a few events planned might be able to go at a moments notice to Neah weather pending. Would prefer to meet up local and dive...

Perch are in and around pilings and rip rap.

Re: Oregon Rockfish Regulation Changes

Pretty similar to our situation up here LittleGoat. Our WDFW would prefer us to only harvest Black Rockfish. On the coast I think Yelloweyes are off limits but not the others you mention. Inside...

Re: Coming to Washington

Everything we have to hunt here is benthic. A big gun won't really do much for you here. Like I said most guys use small guns and shoot Lings from an average of 2' from spear tip to ling head.

Re: Coming to Washington

You will need a saltwater food fish license which will be about $60 because you are out of state. You will also need a crab card as well which is $8.75 and then you are good to go.

Vis in winter...

Well you are coming out a bit on the early side for our Puget Sound season. The only species available to you at that time will be Cabezon, Greenling and Perch. The Lings will be thick around there...
