Nah usually fillet, skin and straight on the BBQ. They are pretty good on the chew.

Freediving for Southern Rock Lobster.

Just a little clip of a nice swim the other day. Just south of Melbourne in the south eastern corner of Australia. All Lobsters must be taken by hand only. Good fun and only 10 minutes from home....

Australian Salmon. Shallows along the shoreline of Victoria's Port Phillip Bay. Congregate in large number between June and August. Our Winter. Water temperature 11 degrees C. ( about 50 degrees F)....

Australian Salmon are a most under-rated table fish. If bled and prepared fresh from the sea they great in a shallow pan or on a hot plate. I also love mincing them up into burgers mixed with onions,...

The 7 ft length is the actual body of the spear. The attachments add to this. With the Shaka this selection is easy as it is the longest of 2 lengths available. With Linghunt you can add bits of tube...

Bought two new spears. 7' JBL Shaka + standard slip tip. 7' Linghunt + 18" slip tip, + 12" single flopper. Shaka lightish and fast. Linghunt heavier with a real wallop!! Slip tip on Shaka a little...
