Re: Channel Islands: Big Bugs, Big Sheep, Lost Gun

Nice bugs Craig looks like it was an awesome trip. Bummer about the gun but what can you do.. I like to use a reel with a float line break away setup - it never fails esp. on reef fish... :D

Re: HELP: Urine odor in open-cell wetsuit?

Only advice I’m giving is don’t pee in your suit. I bought a new suit and refuse to pee in it that’s the solution for no pee smell. Oxyclean is a little overboard imo that stuff eats organic matter...

Re: HELP: Urine odor in open-cell wetsuit?

It helps get rid of it and anything that's for sure growing in your suit. If you can don't use shoulder straps and pull the bottoms down some to pee out of your suit :D

Re: HELP: Urine odor in open-cell wetsuit?

Try Lysol the blue stuff in the plastic bottle is what I use it works well. Soak it a cup to 2 gallons or so of water for 4-5hrs or overnight if you want then rinse and hang dry.

Re: GoPro Black Video Settings for Spearing

Tyson Yes this is what I'm experiencing the FPS vs. ISO on a still camera. I have a Cannon 770is with a housing and that thing works great in low light at the 1200+ resolution but there is no...

Re: GoPro Black Video Settings for Spearing

Very helpful thank you. I don’t do a lot of slow motion but when you want it its nice to have the option. I'm going to give the 2.7K @ 30 FPS a test and see how it does. I want to find a goto setting...

Re: Rope ladder for the boat

Yeah rope ladder is useless in most cases. What city do you live in? I ended up making one (see below) for my boat so I have a stainless one similar this for sale: http://tinyurl.com/n3l34ll...

Re: What's a good stringer set up?

I just make my own. If you have crimps, a drill, some 3-400# mono you can get 1/4" round stock from McMaster or you local metal shop enough to make 4-5 of them is like $10. Take a 2-3’ or so piece of...

Re: New Dive Conditions Site

 That

But its too late the internet is out of the bag and the joke is on us. It all started back with CDIP and that’s still all you really need to know what’s going on.

Isn’t this sticky...

Re: squeaky weight belt?

I read somewhere here that you don’t even need to dive to shoot WSB. Just lay on the surface and shoot them from there problem solved.

But seriously use a crotch strap like Roger23043...

I have Kevlar in my boat it’s used in the transom and in the hull layup. I can’t figure out why you would worry about it unless like was said you really did some major damage. Even then I would think...

Re: Totally off-topic, but if you like Sierra Nevada beer.....

Guinness Extra Stout with the nitrous pouch is ok, but nothing like it on tap with the nitrous system. Guinness Draught works ok for a marinade base for meats if you get stuck with it in the fridge...

Re: white shark in Santa Cruz

Yep I am also sure most of them know we are not good food. It’s the 2% - the sick/starving or the outsider that didn’t get the memo yet that seems to stir things up every few years.

Yeah or Cheat-ups :D

Re: Some advise on loading bands.

I find palms up to be easier, and that’s how I do it. Think about pull-ups its easer with your palms toward you and I think that’s why pull-ups are usually counted with palms away. I find it easier...

Re: Video: A perfect day of fishing at Catalina 3/3
